The MODL Zoning Map is an interactive geographic information system (GIS) application developed for the Municipality of the District of Lunenburg. The map provides parcel-level zoning and land-use information across the municipality, allowing residents, developers, planners, and property owners to search by address, PID, or Assessment Account Number (AAN) to identify zoning classifications and applicable planning constraints.
In addition to zoning layers for communities such as Blockhouse and Hebbville, the application integrates coastal protection and environmental data, including provincially identified wetlands, wetland buffers, coastal flood risk areas, and Coastal Protection Development Permit Areas. Users can toggle map layers on and off, explore regulatory overlays, and better understand how municipal land-use bylaws intersect with environmental and coastal planning requirements.
Built on Esri ArcGIS Experience Builder, the platform combines interactive mapping, searchable property information, and layered planning data into a centralized public-facing planning and development tool accessible from desktop and mobile devices.
